I've found my furever family!

Hi! My Name Is Duke

We're happy to tell you that Duke has a new furever home.
Please visit our Available Dogs Page to see the pups currently available.

Duke was an owner surrender. His previous owner only had him 1 month. He was very shy. His previous owner said he had just gotten to the point where Duke would let him touch him. He wasn’t allowed in the house. Duke came to us very timid. He would run away from us. He wouldn’t come out of his crate that his owner left us. Slowly he started trusting us. Duke is still very shy and timid. He will need a home that is patient & loving. We’re not sure if anything happened to Duke or if he just wasn’t socialized as a pup. He is now starting to give kisses. He’s become interested in everything I do. He follows me everywhere. We’re working on basic training because he’s had none. We’re crate training him and he is doing great. He only had an accident in his crate the first night and in the house the first day. Other than that he’s been fantastic. Duke absolutely LOVES dogs. He LOVES to play. Our dogs have really helped him come out of his shell and show him that all humans aren’t bad. Duke is neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, current on flea/tick control & microchipped. Duke is expected to be 100+ lbs when full grown. Duke will need to go to a home with a patient family. Duke will take time to adjust to his new home. He is already very attached to us in the short time we’ve had him. I don’t think the transition will be easy. Duke is great with my kids BUT my kids respect dogs and their boundaries! If you have little ones that do not understand this and will not give Duke space when needed it will not be a good fit. Duke was not leash trained when he came to us. He is now and he is doing great. He no longer sleeps in his crate. He sleeps in my room on a dog bed. We will not adopt Duke out to an outdoor only home. Duke does not like being left alone and definitely needs to go to a home that has another dog. Duke is great with my kids ranging from 17 to 9 years old. Duke is great with cats & livestock. Duke is great with big and little dogs.
